I would suppose you may be wondering about the title, but rest assured we will answer the question at hand if children really do bounce. We have often heard the term; those kids are bouncing off the walls. Any parent or caregiver can tell you they have witnessed a child at one time or another flying from the top of a couch or dresser, turning a flip with a half turn. In mid-air, you hear your self-saying NOOOOOOO, and in slow motion dart toward them hoping to stop the fall before the crash.  Too late, you then hear a big thud!!!  You are hitting the floor like a sack of tators rolling off a truck because your bare foot landed on a Lego. Then out of the corner of your eye, you see little arms going up in the air and hear TADA!  As they rise from the most magnificent aerial stunt ever known to a 4-year-old ever!!! While you on the other hand scored a negative five for your landing.

I remember when I was young swinging as high as I could go and then jumping out.  The butterflies and the rush of excitement as I either landed on my feet, hit my bottom, or just went rolling. Many times, my pride was hurt, but every time I got back up and did it again. We all love those TA-DA moments as children.  Somewhere along the way, we lose confidence in the bounce. Mostly due to the fact we fear hip breakage.

Back to the question, do children really bounce?  I would say they do if you are speaking as in their age. Here is the real question I am getting to, can we as adults bounce no matter what our age? Can we still experience the excitement and the courage to keep attempting to land the jump with the confidence of a four-year-old? I say YES, WE CAN!!! Now before you start questioning my sanity hear me out because like you, I am not fond of breaking anything either.

Those that have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior, are we not all children of the almighty GOD? Do we bounce or do we fall flat on our face and never attempt to get back up?  Knowing our Father sees the attempts to land safely, as we at times succeed or fail, but either way, He is there, He is right there through it all.  He is cheering us on and reaching for our hand encouraging us to get back up!  Whether you are a 4-year-old or an 80-year-old we all bounce either in the physical or the spiritual. As a child of God, we are in a spiritual realm and evil is at every mountain waiting on us to spiral down, and at every valley discouraging to keep us down. The battle is real!  We either bounce in a TADA moment or we give up.

This quote is from a friend’s Facebook page.

“You better watch those people that BOUNCE BACK from EVERYTHING that was meant to DESTROY them! Those are GOD’s people and they’re NOT to be PLAYED WITH”.

We must approach our Christian walk boldly. We have a lamp unto our feet, a Lion at our back and clothed with the Armor of GOD!

YES, CHILDREN, WE BOUNCE!!!

Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage be not afraid, neither be though dismayed: for the Lord, thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
