As I sat with my mom in the Intensive Care Unit a few weeks ago, I noticed that the doors to her room were completely glass. This is not the case in other areas of the hospital. But in the ICU, the nurses are able to see directly into their patients’ rooms at all times. Because of this, they could see if my mom’s situation changed. They could see if she tried to get up on her own. They could see if she needed them even when she didn’t have the strength to push the call button.
As I sat there quietly praying for her and talking to God, I said, “God, Momma is in the ICU and she needs You. I need You. “At that moment, one of my old memory verses, Psalm 34:15 came to my mind, “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are attentive to their cry;” Sitting there in the ICU, I felt Him saying, “My eyes are on you, I. SEE. YOU.”
The Lord of all creation was saying, “I see you. I see the troubles you’re going through. I see the tears in your eyes. I see the pain in your heart. I. See. You. And right now, you’re going through something hard and I am with you.”
I hadn’t realized it before but, I had been praying like I was informing Him of all that was going on. I had been praying as if the God who knows everything didn’t know my situation at that moment.
The fact is, He does know. He knows everything…..more than everything really. He knows the beginning and the end. He knows exactly how this situation is going to turn out and why it’s going to turn out that way. He already knows. Take a minute to let that sink in. Whatever you are going through right now… He sees you. He already knows how it’s going to play out. Every detail. He knows.
Whether you are grieving over the loss of a loved one…
Stressing over a bad diagnosis…
Angry over an unfair situation…
Or exhausted from the daily grind of life… He knows.
Hebrews 14:13 tells us, “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”
He sees you. And He cares. Maybe what He’s telling you today… maybe what He’s telling me today, is that we need a little intensive care ourselves. We need to slow down and focus on our health. More specifically, our spiritual health. We need to focus on our connection to Him. To sit in His presence and allow Him to speak to our hearts. Allow Him to give us that peace that passes all understanding. (Philippians 4:7) That kind of peace only comes from God.
You may be in a season of real trials and hardships. Rest assured that God sees you, He loves you with unconditional, unexplainable love and He will see you through. Don’t spend another moment trapped in the chaos of your mind.
DO
as 1 Peter 2:7 tells us to do- “cast all your cares upon the Lord for He cares about you.”
TRUST
His promise in Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
PRAY:
Heavenly Father, Lord, I thank You that You are the God who sees me. You know what I am going through right now. You know my situation even better than I do. You know the achings and the desires of my heart. I give it all to You Lord. I lay it at Your feet. May Your will be done. Strengthen me. Empower me. Give me peace, Lord. I trust in You. Amen.

Beautifully said! Thank you for sharing my friend!
This was needed this morning,.I feel as though there is a spiritual war going on in my head, that God doesn’t hear me because of my past, but I also know that is the devil trying to make me think that. Prayer would be great thank you
