Living with Death

Hello friends,

Death is not an easy thing to talk about. Nobody likes to be reminded they’re going to die, and nothing is as harsh of a reminder as a young adult or child meeting an untimely end. It hurts in a different way because they were young. When an older person dies, it’s still sad because they’re leaving us behind on Earth, but in a way, it feels fair because of their long lives. 

Either way, we are left with grief and a struggle to move on. However, they haven’t left us with nothing. They left us with memories and moments we can always look back to. They left us with the positive works they performed in life no matter how seemingly big or small.

Their impact can be felt by others many years after their deaths.

Our lives on Earth are limited, but why would we want to stay here forever? When we die, our Father in Heaven will welcome us with open arms and we will no longer feel sorrow, fear, or pain. Death is merely a stepping stone to be closer to Him. It’s a gateway into our Father’s house.

Despite all of the trials we go through, we can rest in the comfort we will be in His hands at the end of our life.

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14:1-3
