1.  Smile.

If we are to let God’s light shine through us, a smile is the best place to start!  I have one of those faces that if I’m not smiling I look mad.  I have to be very aware of that.  Maybe you do too.  Make sure your face reflects God’s love!

2.  Pray with Someone.

When someone tells you about a problem they’re facing, say “Can I pray with you about that?”  Most of the time they will let you.  But, don’t let praying out loud scare you.  You don’t have to impress anyone with your prayer vocabulary.  It’s ok to keep it simple.  “Lord, Martha Lou really needs you right now. Please draw near to her and help her through this.  Give her wisdom… give her peace.  Amen.”  Short and sweet.  But, Martha Lou knows that you cared enough to lift her name up to the King of kings.  And when you’re going through something tough, that, my friend, is pretty special.

3.  Lend a Hand.

Prepare a meal.  Pay for a meal.  Run an errand.  Do a chore.  Open a door.

4.  Give a Compliment.

So many times we think great things about people but we don’t say them out loud.  Tell them!  Tell them they’re great.  Tell them they’re beautiful.  Tell them they make the best apple pie this side of the Mississippi!  Whatever you like about them… tell them!

5.  Say “I Love You”.

It blesses the soul to hear those words.  Say it to your spouse, say it to your children, say it to your parents, say it to your friends.  Share the love all around!   Trust me, life is short and one thing you will never regret is telling the people you love that you love them.  Do it today.

6.  Listen.

Sometimes all anyone needs is a listening ear.  Be that person.  Truly listen without thinking about what you’re going to say next.  Listen without telling them what to do.  Just listen.  Give them your undivided attention.

7.  Speak highly of someone to others.

Have you ever overheard someone saying something good about you?  Or has anyone ever told you that someone spoke highly of you or was bragging on you when you weren’t around?  In a world where there is so much negativity and so much talking behind each other’s backs- let’s switch it up.  Put those positive words out there.  It may never get back to them, but it might.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father I am your vessel.  Use me to share Your love today.  Fill me with Your love so much that it spills out of me onto everyone I come in contact with.  May Your light shine brightly through me today and every day.  Amen.
